We have worked with the Friends of Giles Street group to support their work developing the local green space on Giles Street. Sarah, Tricia and Catrina have done fantastic work during the Covid restrictions tidying up painting, repairing, planting and much more in their street.

They have transformed how the street looks, made friends and built a community by picking up a hoe and some binbags and getting out there. They are a real inspiration. Edible Estates has supported the group with their development into a constituted group and making videos about the project as well as providing some volunteer labour from the Leith Community Growers Association to help them with landscaping and planting.

Giles Street is a great example of local people impacting their community through green space and gardening initiatives. We are proud to be a small part of it!
