Good Roots Garden

Good Roots Garden

Good Roots Garden was established by members of Stenhouse Baptist Church in 2020 on an area of enclosed greenspace next to their church as a garden and orchard, open to the whole community, in the heart of Stenhouse. The garden is intended to build community cohesion, provide food for the community, and support diversionary activities for children, young people, ex-offenders and those who are socially isolated.

They have built three raised beds for fruit and vegetables, planted a small fruit orchard and converted an area of grass to meadow to attract pollinators and increase biodiversity.  They have kept the site quite open with the raised beds spread far apart as they want to have plenty space for children to run around.
